2024 NORTON PTA FALL FUNDRAISER

September 4 - September 27

Norton PTA holds a fall fundraiser each year to raise the operating funds needed for the PTA to facilitate all of our wonderful programs and events. This year, we are holding a fundraiser similar to the Castle Run in 2022. Students will each setup a personal fundraising webpage all working towards the goal of raising the funds needed this year. If we meet our goal of $20,000, the students will be rewarded with a day of fun and a few surprises. Along the way to meeting our goal, we will offer incentive rewards for reaching milestones. For every $4000 raised, a reward will be unlocked! When we reach $20,000, the ultimate reward is scheduled to take place on September 27. Let's Go! One Team, One Dream!

Students are highly encouraged to share their fundraising webpage on social media and send emails to family and friends to sponsor them in the fun Olympic themed event. We will be encouraging students to commit to doing an act of kindness for each donation they receive. This could include spreading positivity, reading to younger students, helping those in need, cleaning up the neighborhood/classroom, etc. The fundraiser kicks off on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 and ends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Note that all students will participate in the Knightathlon regardless of monies raised.

Follow the Norton PTA on Facebook and Instagram for regular fundraiser updates.

QUESTION & ANSWER

Are there prizes if we meet the $20,000 goal?

Absolutely! Each Olympic ring represents a $4000 benchmark. As the kids raise money and meet the benchmarks they will earn various prizes. In addition, we will have prizes for individual, grade level, and MORE house teams (Gold, Silver, and Bronze). There will also be surprise prizes announced during the campaign! Kids will learn about the surprise prizes during morning announcements while parents will find updates on our social media platforms! For a full list of prizes, see below!

Is there a classroom goal that we need to target?
While we do not have a specific monetary goal for individual classrooms, we do have a grade level prize where the grade that raises the most donations will win a pizza and ice cream party. There will also be prizes for the grades that come in 2nd (Silver) and 3rd (Bronze) place.

Why should we use the Knightathlon fundraising page?
A student's Knightathlon fundraising page allows a link to be shared through Facebook, X, and personal emails. Supporters can donate through the link so that the donation counts towards the student's fundraising goal. Also, by using the link, family members, friends, and neighbors don't have to register with Membership Toolkit to donate.

How can I change the personal message on the student page? In the edit box, the text is gray and I cannot edit the words.
Before clicking on the "Edit My Student" box, copy the default personal message on the page. Then click "Edit My Student." Paste the text into "Personal Welcome Message Box." The text now should be black instead of gray. You now can edit the message.

What if students don't want to personalize their Knightathlon page? Can I still donate as a parent?
That's okay if a student does not want to personalize their Knightathlon page. Parents can still donate through the page since it functions similar to a sales form parents already use to order other Norton PTA items (e.g., spirit wear). NOTE: A parent will need to have a Membership Toolkit account to donate through the form.

What should my child write for their email donation requests?
By clicking on the email button on the bottom of your child's donation page a new window will open up with a link for your child's page. You may then write a short personal message if you'd like and send to your friends and family.  Don't forget to send a thank you email after you receive their donation!
