Volunteering with Norton PTA

When adults volunteer, all students benefit. There are many opportunities for parents, grandparents, all family members to get involved at Norton Elementary. Follow the steps to get started.

(STEP 1) Complete an Allen ISD Volunteer Application that includes a Background Check

In order to volunteer with Norton PTA, you must complete a volunteer application. Each application can take up to two to three weeks for processing.

(STEP 2) Read "A Knight's Guide to Volunteering Handbook"

All volunteers must read and follow Norton Volunteer Guidelines. Print, sign, and return the handbook acknowledgement form (located at the end of the handbook) to the Norton front office on or before your first volunteer shift.

(STEP 3) Complete the Volunteer Interest Form
Select specific events that interest you. You'll be added to our volunteer email list and contacted by the PTA as the event approaches. You will need to login or create an account to complete the form. You must have an approved Allen ISD background check to volunteer at Norton.

(STEP 4) Active Volunteer Opportunities
Visit the SignUp.com PTA page: See our current volunteer time slots. You may sign up for open time slots as each event approaches. You must have an approved Allen ISD background check. If you don't have an approved background check, you will be removed from the sign up sheet and notified.
