UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Turkey About Town food drive. We're happy to report we donated 1,300 to Allen Community Outreach!! Thank you for helping us exceed our goal and help Allen families have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

In past years, our counselor, Mrs. Gilbert, has hosted a food drive for our local food pantry at Allen Community Outreach (ACO). It is called “the Traveling Turkey” and involves a turkey cutout that the students take feathers from to learn about items needed by the food pantry. This year Allen schools cannot host holiday food drives and the loss of these donations will be felt, especially in a year when donations are needed more than ever.

The Norton PTA would like to help fill this gap by continuing this tradition. This year the Traveling Turkey will be leaving Norton and going all around town - a great way for all students to get involved! We will have donation boxes placed at homes around our Norton community November 2nd – November 6^th. Just look for the turkey box on the porch.
